Resolve sync conflicts
A conflict appears when two devices changed the same entry independently and neither version is clearly newer. Lotti preserves both versions instead of silently choosing one.
Open Settings → Sync → Conflicts. The list separates unresolved and resolved items and identifies the entity type and time of each conflict.
Compare both versions
Open a conflict to see every differing field. Text changes include word-level highlights; unchanged fields are summarized so the page does not hide how much of the entry still agrees.
The three resolution paths are:
- Use this device keeps the complete local version.
- Use from sync keeps the complete incoming version.
- Combine lets you choose a starting side and then select the winner for each independently mergeable field.
Keeping one complete side is appropriate when the other is simply stale. Combine is the safer choice when separate fields contain valid work from both devices; Lotti marks it as recommended when several mergeable fields differ.
Combine fields without retyping
Select Combine, choose the version to start from, then switch individual fields to the other side. Fields that cannot be merged independently follow the selected starting version.
Review every listed field before selecting Apply combined. The resolved entry receives a merged sync history so the same two edits do not immediately conflict again.
Keeping a side or applying a combined version writes the winner locally and allows it to sync to the other devices. Read the complete diff before confirming. If one side deleted the entry while the other edited it, Lotti shows the safer delete-versus-edit choice instead of a normal field merge.
Return to Sync devices to inspect delivery and catch-up health.
